Privacy policy
Last updated 3 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Ceginau Dyfi Kitchens (DYFI KITCHENS LTD, company number 15185941, of 3 Heol Maengwyn, Machynlleth, SY20 8AA) collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are the data controller for that information.
What we collect
- Details you send us through the enquiry form: name, email address, telephone number, postcode, project type, timescale, your message and any photographs you attach.
- Details you give us by telephone, email, in the showroom or during a survey — including the address of the property and measurements.
- Records relating to a project we carry out for you: designs, specifications, correspondence, invoices and payment records.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a design and quotation. Our lawful basis is your consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To carry out and manage a project you have engaged us for. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you made an enquiry.
Who we share it with
Where a project needs them, we share the minimum necessary details with the trade partners working on it — for example an electrician, plumber or gas engineer — and with suppliers who need a delivery address. We also use ordinary business services such as email and cloud storage, and an accountant.
Before publishing: confirm the named email, hosting, form and accounting providers so this section can list them specifically.
Photographs of your home
We photograph completed work for our own records and, with your permission, for this website and social media. We will always ask before publishing photographs of your home, and we will not identify your address. You can withdraw that permission at any time and we will remove the images from material we control.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us. Project records are kept for at least six years after completion, because we may need them for guarantees, insurance and tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to our using it, or withdraw consent. Email steve@dyfikitchens.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
